Clément, j'ai 25 ans, je pratique l’athlétisme depuis 15 ans en compétition et je suis spécialiste du 800m. Mon record en 2021 sur la distance est de 1'49''51. Je possède également des records sur 400m en 50''37 ainsi que sur 1000m en 2'27 et 1500m en 3'54''46.

J'ai décidé de partir étudier aux États-Unis il y a 2 ans, en effet je souhaitais découvrir cette autre façon de s'entrainer et ainsi peaufiner mon niveau d'anglais. Grace a Martin Casse et son agence USA Project, maintenant appelé EliteTrackAndField j'ai été mi en relation avec plusieurs universités. J'ai donc choisi American International College pour plusieurs raisons :

- le groupe compose de très bons athlètes qui me permettront de progresser

- le coach qui entretient une relation assez personnelle avec ses athlètes.

- le lieu, situé a Springfield à seulement 1h de Boston, 3h de NY et 5h de Montréal, très agréable quand tu souhaites visiter.

- les lieux des compétitions et les objectifs sportifs mis en avant par le coach

- Le montant de ma bourse sportive

Chaque fin de semaine, je publierai un article sur ma vie, je vous invite donc a me suivre dans cette aventure Américaine.

My name is Clement, I am 25 and I have been an athlete for 15 years. My major event is 800m but I run the  400m, 1000m and 1500m too. My personal record are 1’49’’51 in 2021 for the 800m, on the 400m, I ran 50’’37 in 2018, on the 1k, 2’27 and 3’54''46 on the 1500m in 2021. 

I decided to come in United States to see how the American guys train and to beat my personal records as well. I wanted to improve my level in English in order to be bilingual for my future job. I would like to thank Martin Casse, the founder of the agency USA Project who helped me a lot in terms of administrative papers, visa, university relations, and things like that. I chose American International College for many reasons: 

-    We have a very talented group, this is the perfect way to progress

-    Coach Mayo has a personal relationship with athletes 

-    For the location, the university is located in Springfield, only an hour and 30 minutes away from Boston, 3 hours from New York and 5 hours by car from Montreal (Canada). 

-    Coach Mayo takes his athletes to very competitive races (Penn Relays, Texas Relays…) 

-    The amount of my scholarship
